CEJA speaks at COPA-COGECA congress

On 6 October CEJA President Joris Baecke was invited to address the European Congress of Farmers organized by COPA-COGECA. He stressed the importance of a strong installation policy for young farmers and outlined CEJA’s Declaration on the future CAP. 

He maintained a strong installation policy as one which is implemented in all Member States, accompanying all young farmers – this means a level playing field across the EU for all young farmers. A policy that includes a financial aspect, such as a guarantee for credits, reduced interest rates  or guaranteed interests rate. A policy that promotes dynamism and innovation, such as a better transfer of technology from the research centre to the farm. Finally such a policy would include a strong communication and promotion of the profession, to give it the value it deserves.
