CEJA's Italian young farmers met with EU Agriculture and Rural Development Commissioner Dacian Ciolos at the Salone del Gusto fair in Turin, Italy on 21 October.

The 5 day event is one of Italy's largest on the agricultural and gastronomic calendars.

Commisioner Ciolos invited the young farmers to have a one hour roundtable discussion to debate the CAP post 2013.

Representatives from CEJA's three Italian member organisations AGIA, ANGA and Coldiretti Giovani Impresa were able to engage directly with the Commissioner on a range of topics including origin labelling, access to land and credit, generational renewal and a stable and predictable future framework for agricultural policy.
