The ‘Farm and Farmers’ project developed by CEJA aims to show how European young farmers are adapting to the challenges facing agriculture today.

The final result of this project are videos which show the dynamism of European young farmers and how they are finding innovative ways to support themselves in a changing environment for farming.

These videos seek to showcase not only the diversity of European agriculture and European cuisine, but also the vitality of rural areas and the passion of these farmers for producing healthy, diverse, and more artisanal style of food that is both affordable and sustainable and which adds to a healthy lifestyle.

The objectives of the videos also include promoting of the diversity of European landscapes and the vitality of rural areas as well as to showing the job opportunities in agriculture and encouraging young people into farming and agri-tourism as an alternative to traditional tourism.

The videos aim at promoting the intercultural learning and understanding so that one can better comprehend the European variety in farming and the need for it to be adapted to the national and regional situation and needs of each country.

The initial videos, focusing on farmers from Italy, France and Belgium have been made with the support of the Youth in Action Programme and if the budget allows the project will be continued next year in order to target other parts of Europe, such as Scandinavian and Eastern countries.

If you are interested in taking part in the next series of videos please contact: allusers@ceja.eu

The videos had been put up on YouTube, Facebook and VIMEO to ensure the highest dissemination of project results.
